About Us

Sharing our licensing journey with you! This is our Faith-fueled launching pad back into the gone but not forgotten world of diaper genies, playgrounds, and cheerios.

I am a wife and mother of 3 biological children.  We live in Sammamish, WA and we are applying for a license in King County from the City Ministries Child placement agency.  We started our foster licensing process in June, 2014.

80%.  That’s my explanation for the title of this website. 80% of foster children are reunited with their families. That is a miracle! I had no idea. So, “bringing our children home” is my message that the main goal is to get these precious children home with their birth parents or blood relatives. It’s good to know that we will be preparing them to return home. That is our charge.

We bring them into our home… then we bring them back home. 80% of the time.

Of course the other 20% will be adopted. And that is a miracle too!  I have 2 amazing brothers that were adopted by our family!

God Bless you!

  1. Hi,

I’m a mental health counselor and my husband and I are currently getting licensed as foster care parents in Colorado. I know when women are pregnant they’ll read the older siblings books like “I’m a Big Brother” or “I’m a Big Sister.” But do you know of any picture books to introduce your existing 3-7 year old kids to the idea of fostering, and foster siblings going in and out of the home?

I couldn’t find one and I’m an author so an illustrator and I got together and wrote one. “What’s a Foster Family?” is about a little boy who is an only child and then his parents start fostering. We’re going to be releasing in May for U.S. National Foster Care month. We are looking for some reviewers. Would you be interested in reviewing our picture book (six hundred words) on your site? Here’s a link to my latest blogpost that has a little more information about the book. http://annegarboczievans.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-foster-care-journey.html
